MAURA A. SNABES Esquire, Principal, CES®, NTP®
Ms. Snabes practices in the area of Real Estate and Corporate Law. Ms. Snabes has been the corporate legal counsel for a title company since 1994 and has been with our sister company, Corporate Settlement Solutions, since 2002, as SVP, Corporate Counsel. She is a Certified Exchange Specialist¢ī as certified by the Federation of Exchange Accommodators and is the founder and co-owner of Corporate Exchange Services which was founded in 1995 and which is a qualified intermediary for forward, reverse and build-to-suit tax-deferred exchanges. She regularly gives seminars on 1031 exchanges and other real estate matters to real estate and tax professionals in Michigan.
Ms. Snabes is highly involved with the community and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan; Charlevoix-Emmet Bar Association; Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity; Antrim-Charlevoix-Kalkaska Association of Realtors and is a Michigan Land Title Association Board Member and Committee Chair. She is also a licensed Michigan real estate broker.
Ms. Snabes and her husband have three children and live in Charlevoix, Michigan. She enjoys singing, outdoor activities and participating in and watching competitive sports.
JEROME E. JELINEK Esquire, Principal
Mr. Jelinek has been the President and General Counsel of our sister company, Corporate Settlement Solutions, LLC, since its inception in 1992. Prior to CSS, Mr. Jelinek was in private practice in southeastern Michigan, concentrating in real estate law and commercial litigation. He is a past-president of the Michigan Land Title Association, and he currently serves as the chair of the MLTA Legislative Steering Committee. In addition to the MLTA, Mr. Jelinek is a member of the American Land Title Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of Florida. He received his B.A. from Hope College and his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Mr. Jelinek lives in Traverse City, Michigan, with his wife, Jill. They have two daughters, Ashley and Aria. He is active in the community and enjoys tennis, biking and swimming.
